Unreal Tournament was one of my favorite games of my teenage years. Second only to Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games such as EverQuest and Anarchy Online, I played Unreal Tournament more than just about anything. It was a wild and often exhilarating experience, and when Epic seemingly decided to axe the franchise, I was very sad indeed.
Unreal Tournament's Pre-Alpha Season kicked off last weekend, and Epic Games marked the occasion by hosting a live tournament at the studio and releasing the above trailer, which looks at the new.
So here's the good news: Unreal Tournament is back, and for now at least, it's free to play in the form of an open Alpha for all interested and nostalgic gamers like myself. Gsn bonus round family feud. Command shift 4 not working. It's being developed by a bunch of talented people from the Unreal community, and with a little luck, it's going to be incredible.

- I 'm sure a few of you have already been enjoying the pre-alpha build of the new Unreal Tournament, I know I have! And so far, it 's been pretty epic. For those that have been and, of course, for.
- In yesterday's Twitch stream the devs mentioned this week would be the last for the Halloween's unlocks, but they didn't touch on the Pre-Alpha Season ending. They did however say in previous streams that the Pre-Alpha Season would be extended beyond its initial October deadline, but they didn't know at that time how long it would last.
- The new Unreal Tournament is getting a new update which Epic Games say its the biggest one yet, and therefore have released a new trailer which is simply put, amazing. It starts as the original UT99 trailer and then shifts to the new version (even has original monologue). The update will contain.

This new alpha, and trailer, features new characters such as the Skaarj and female Necris, complete with unlockable upgrades. You'll also find three new maps, including a remake of the legendary Facing Worlds that everyone loved so much in the original Unreal Tournament. I admit, it was one of my absolute favorite maps, possibly of any multiplayer game ever.
